If you share unhappiness, then it will be halved. What a crap….

I often choose not share my unhappiness with others. There are two obvious reasons.

1) The root cause(s) of my unhappiness are from ‘me’. Unless anyone has a significant power to change ‘me’ or ‘my surroundings’, then there is no point of sharing my unhappiness. In fact, no one can change ‘me’ except ‘myself’.

2) The second reason precludes the above condition. Assuming while no one can resolve my problems except myself, asking someone to listen / resolve my problems goes beyond the realm of ‘stupidity’ (I rather say ‘get close to the realm of ‘insanity’). Why bother to tell people who have no ability to do anything about it?

Not sure what people want to gain from telling / sharing their problems with others. Does this act constitute of earning sympathy from others? Do we get such comfort from this? For me, definitely not. This is all I need from people – say nothing, stay where you are, and just watch me how I overcome problems. That’s all I am asking, nothing more or nothing less.
